Description

The Sales Internship is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world exposure to the many facets that contribute to success within a fast paced sales environment.  Students will gain hands-on, real-life sales training and experience to broaden their understanding of sales techniques, research strategies and the behind the scenes duties necessary to take an enterprise wide product solution to market.  We are currently looking for candidates to start in all of our sales offices.  Candidates must be able to access the office locations easily and have reliable transportation. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Professional development and sales trainings will be presented by the Regional Learning Executive each week via webcam:

  • “Boardroom Friday” - Weekly professional development in the office via GoToMeeting
    • Exposure to executives/celebrity judges
    • Exposure to execute a sales pitch in front of our executives/celebrity judges
    • Exposure to different team plans to execute on during the duration of the program
    • Team competition
    • Exposure to different learning topics each week
  • “Launch Pad” - Weekly professional development in team environment in the office via GoToMeeting
    • Strategy around weekly competitions are discussed
    • Roll playing to improve skill sets
    • Continuous sales development
  • Minimum of 1 field ride per week will take place
  • Exposure to Paycom Product through self-learning, Train With Me recorded or live sessions and other LMS content
  • Learn multiple aspects of the sales cycle
  • Shadow successful sales professionals
  • Participate in prospecting sessions
  • Cold calling & setting appointments
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator usage
  • Email campaigns
  • Research prospects and present findings (profiling)
  • Assist in analysis and presentation preparation
  • Prepare drops
  • Pre call planning
  • Special projects as necessary
  • Some administrative functions
  • Regular attendance as required
  • Hit weekly required metrics
Qualifications

Education/Certification:     

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, must be a senior
  • 3.2 GPA minimum
    • *Must provide transcripts to verify GPA and hours completed

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours in the office per week for fall & spring sessions and 40 hours per week for the summer session
  • Candidates must pass extensive background check

Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision

  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Actively involved in leadership roles on campus preferred
  • Knowledge of a CRM preferred
