Description

As a Content Management Specialist, you bring the Paycom brand to life! You’ll work closely with our visual designers, writers, marketing operations, digital engagement, development and QA teams to publish and update content through our WordPress CMS. This position is responsible for the consistent process, administration, and implementation of CMS management on Paycom.com as well as additional marketing sites and marketing content.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively to publish and update content for the Paycom.com website through our WordPress CMS. This includes being an expert in our instance to provide relevant, informative feedback and guidance in implementation best practices to design and stakeholders as needed.
  • Implementation of all CMS page and content requests to include detail-oriented implementation of design, content, technical SEO and meta fields as outlined by stakeholders and Website Specialists.
  • Understand, implement and enforce Paycom best practices regarding accessibility, responsiveness and brand standards to provide a consistent user experience, utilizing a device agnostic approach to optimizing webpages for all users and their devices.
  • Database building and management, including importing, exporting, migrating, auditing and maintaining the current database as well as monitoring change opportunities for growth. Requires attentiveness and knowledge of the database metafield structure.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with internal and external partners including but not limited to: Email Team, Marketing Team, Development Team, QA Team, and system users.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Research, coordinate and communicate content changes and the effect it can have on the users of marketing’s websites throughout content lifecycles for all content types.
  • Maintain and adhere to service level agreements with both Marketing and Development users.
  • Create/Maintain documentation of CMS enhancements or provide training documentation and assist in the development and implementation of Paycom’s internal knowledge base.
  • Assist the Development team with changes to live WP environment after the release of new development as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • High School or GED
  • Technical certification or degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience in marketing

Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Marketing, Communications or Computer Science or equivalent years of experience in Marketing Website development and Content management

Experience:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of HTML & CSS.
  • Experience with WordPress CMS or equivalent software(s).
  • Experience working within project management software for tasks, Jira preferred.
  • Work in production environments, clear understanding of agile best practices.
  • Good understanding of SEO, WCAG and responsive web design.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Experience working with a client as a content manager utilizing a CMS for an enterprise level company or website.
  • Understands the basics of UI/UX to ensure the technical feasibility to give feedback on provided designs.
  • Experience with image editing software, Adobe product suite a plus.
