Description

Responsible for completing a variety of activities around accurate and timely research and maintenance, filing, payment, and issue resolution for all client payroll taxes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Calculate, file and submit payment for original and amended taxes based on agency specific requirements.
  • Research, track and resolve assigned tax notices from agencies and assigned tickets from clients and service departments
  • Proof other specialists work to identify any errors for correction before they are sent out.
  • Research and review agency changes and updates to ensure current processes are still in alignment with agency requirements.
  • Perform audits and collaborate with agencies and internal business partners to manage and maintain accuracy on client tax actions.
  • Assist in special projects and assignments including training and testing.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • 1+ year of administrative, accounting , payroll, data entry, or related experience

Skills/Abilities:

  • Detail oriented.
  • Well organized.
  • Cooperative and able to effectively work on a team.
  • Ability to use computer applications, printers, copier, fax machine and telephone. Intermediate computer skills in Excel, MS Office Suite, Outlook and Web-based Platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics, accounting, tax and finance principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of complex auditing, reconciliation and general ledger principles.
  • Knowledge of payroll accounting and principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer relationships with moderately to very complex products and services with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to use self-discretion, time management and prioritization of daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform research and effectively solve problems.
  • Ability to build trust and collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to perform research and effectively solve problems.
  • Ability to research complex issues with limited supervision.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with limited supervision.
  • Data entry, reconciliation, problem solving, strong communication skills, customer-oriented, critical thinking, risk management.
