Education/Certification:
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional IT experience
- 3+ years supporting Windows\Linux servers editions
Skills/Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Windows or Linux Server operating system editions
- In depth knowledge and experience of web application architecture and technologies
- PowerShell or similar command line tools used to manage and automate
- Using a log aggregation tool, such as Splunk, for troubleshooting and reporting
- Linux and Windows server administration – applying patches, ensuring health, right-sizing, ensuring quality DR architecture, and troubleshooting problems
- Data retention and capacity planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Info Sys, Computer Science, or related fields
- MTA/MCSE
- RHCA/Linux+
Experience:
- System administration experience in med-large private datacenter environments
- Proven track record of building and maintaining highly available system architecture
- High availability and disaster recovery planning and design.
Skills/Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of Windows and Linux Server operating systems and built in tools.
- Knowledge of VMware and virtual environments.
- Experience with VDI/VMware Horizon
- Knowledge of Networking/Firewall components
- Multi-node system architecture planning and design
- Good understanding of web application architecture and technologies
