Education/Certification:
Experience:
- 3+ years of professional IT experience
- 3+ years supporting servers and/or storage systems
Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware vCenter/ESXi
- Working knowledge of Windows or Linux Server operating systems
- Familiar with backup and recovery software
- In depth knowledge and experience of web application architecture and technologies
- Knowledge of blade server hardware, such as UCS
- Knowledge of enterprise storage systems and protocols (SMB/CIFS/NFS/iSCSI)
- Powershell or similar command line tools used to manage and automate
- Using a log aggregation tool, such as Splunk, for troubleshooting and reporting
- Data retention and capacity planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Info Sys, Computer Science, or related fields
- MTA/MCSE
- RHCA/Linux+
Experience:
- System administration experience in med-large private datacenter environments
- Proven track record of building and maintaining highly available system architecture
- High availability and disaster recovery planning and design.
- Linux administration
Skills/Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of Networking/Firewall components
- Multi-node system (HA) architecture planning and design
- Load-balancing concepts and deployments
- Scripting languages
